Google Web Fonts APIPosted on: October, 23, 2010, in
It used to be that you could only use the system fonts that came with every computer for web design unless you used images. Those days are over. Google has recently developed an API that allows you to embed a link reference to a currently small set of non-system fonts into your website. This makes it possible to have a cool font for page headings without needing to make a new graphic every time you make a new page or write a new post.
The Google web fonts are super easy to use. All you have to do is put a line of code in the head tags, and call the font in your CSS. It’s just that simple.
You may have noticed that I am using this new technology right here on Blue Lotus Media.
This is the beginning of a font revolution!
